Originally posted April 10, 2014 – The California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC) has published two CEUs for Certified Interior Designers which can be taken online, for free.
One course is on nonstructural earthquake retrofitting and requires reading the “Homeowners Guide to Nonstructural Retrofit” for 1 hour credit.
The other course is on CCIDC’s 2017 (changed from 2012) Sunset Review. CIDs learn about CCIDC’s history, board, committees, funding, the IDEX California exam and more for 1 hour credit.
Continuing education is a requirement for all current Certified Interior Designers. CIDs need 10 hours (which equals 1.0 Units) every two years.
