How to study for the IDEX Exam – Tip #1

Share

Whether you will be studying alone or in a group, here is what you first need to do to become familiar with this interior design certification exam. The tips I will be publishing will get you started and help you organize so you can  study effectively for the IDEX exam.

Tip #1.  Get the free IDEX “Study Guide” prepared by CCIDC.

IDEX California Study Guide

IDEX Exam Study Guide published by the California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC)

This is a free, 32-page download prepared by CCIDC which provides background information on the IDEX® exam schedule, rules, release of results and exam format/content, sample questions and an FAQ.

It is not an actual “study guide” where you can learn about California Codes, Business Practices and Design Standards. To learn about these,  you’ll have to read the reference books (see #2 below) or  take a third-party class, such as our IDEX Prep Online Class.

Tip #1: Download and print this guide. Read it. Then put it into a 3-ring binder or file folder for future reference.

Stay tuned for more tips on how to study for the IDEX Exam.
